Bevill State Community College was selected to be part of a grant sponsored by the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation in partnership with the University of Alabama to develop an advising corp in community colleges to assist with our students transferring to four-year institutions. Bevill State has been granted two transfer advisors - one to serve the Fayette and Hamilton Campuses and one to serve the Jasper and Sumiton Campuses.

Bevill State transfer advisors are challenged to provide guidance to students that are interested in transferring to any four-year university. Both advisors are former community college students and they are very familiar with the transfer process to a four-year college or university.  Each advisor will provide various services designed to assist students with researching and selecting the upper division institution that will best fit them, as well as with the preparation of transfer admission, financial aid, testing, housing and scholarship applications.
