Bevill Track & Field
One of the most decorated programs in Bevill State history, the women's cross country and track program has won numerous Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC) titles and gained recognition as one of the premiere National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) programs in the southeast.
The women's cross country team has won ACCC titles in 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, and 2008, earning them berths in the NJCAA National Cross Country Championships in each of those years. In track, former standout, Priscilla Gaines, won the 2007 NJCAA National Championship in the long jump. The coach who laid the foundation of national prominence in women's cross country and track was Jason Marshall, who resigned in May 2009 to pursue other opportunities after leading the program for 10 seasons. In September 2009, a former cross country/track manager, Chad Balentine, was hired to build on this tradition of excellence.
In November 2000, the men's cross country team won the NJCAA National Championship prior to the program being dropped at the conclusion of that academic year.
