Bevill State believes that intercollegiate athletics is an integral part of a student’s educational process and is the focal point for demonstrating school spirit. Since Bevill State was consolidated from four separate campuses in 1992, we have seen tremendous success both on and off the field of play at the state and national levels. The Bears have won twelve ACCC Championships in their respective sports: Men’s Basketball-Fayette (1998, 1999, 2003, 2004, 2007), Baseball-Fayette (2001, 2003), Women’s Cross Country (2002, 2003, 2005, 2006) and Volleyball (1992). Also, numerous team have been recognized as an NJCAA Academic Team-of-the-Year including Women’s Cross Country and Volleyball during the 2006-2007 academic year. These awards would not be possible without the efforts of our college administrators, coaches, and athletes.
