Comprised of 15 academic/technical and administrative buildings, including a new, state-of-the-art Allied Health Sciences facility, the Sumiton Campus has over 60 classrooms/labs, a modern academic library, and an excellent cafeteria, which is open to both students and the local community.

The Sumiton campus of Bevill State Community college provides students with everything they need to receive a well-rounded educational experience that will help shape their future.

History of the Campus
The Sumiton Campus was created as a technical college in 1966 and merged with Brewer State Junior College in 1992 to form BSCC. Today, the Sumiton Campus enrolls approximately 1,300 students and offers a wide range of academic transfer and technical/vocational programs in addition to its community-based activities and services.

Location

The Sumiton Campus, the largest of Bevill State's four main campuses, is located in Walker County on a 95-acre site of gently rolling hills in Sumiton, Alabama, on Highway 78 West. The campus is a 30-minute drive northwest of Birmingham and is 15 minutes east of Jasper.
