Persons assessed for the Career Readiness Certificate (CRC) will, upon successful completion of the assessments, receive the Alabama CRC in one of three Levels. The Bronze CRC requires at least a Level three score in The WorkKeys® skills Applied Mathematics, Locating Information, and Reading for Information. The Silver CRC requires at least a Level four in all three, and a Gold CRC requires at least a Level five. A Platinum level requires a six. The Alabama Governor’s Office of Workforce Development issues the CRCs.
Bronze Level Core employability skills for approximately 30% of the jobs
Silver Level Core employability skills for approximately 65% of the jobs
Gold Level Core employability skills for approximately 90% of the jobs
Platinum Level Core employability skills for approximately 99% of the jobs
Persons seeking the CRC, and enrolled in participating Bevill State Community College Career Technical programs, will take the WorkKeys assessment as a requirement for graduation from their program. These assessments are scheduled through the testing centers on the Fayette, Hamilton, or Sumiton campuses by contacting the respective test administrators.
The cost of assessment is $30.00 for the three assessments, payable before the assessments begin. This fee can be collected by the testing personnel or paid at the campus business office. Payment must be received before the person can assess.

Interested persons can also obtain the CRC by participating in and completing the Bevill State Adult Education program both on and off campus. These are assessed in the Adult Education departments.
