The Nursing Student Handbook has been compiled to assist all nursing students in becoming acquainted with the Nursing Programs at Bevill State Community College. It is designed to orient all nursing students to the Nursing Programs’ function, philosophy and organizing framework, policies and regulations, Alabama College System’s nursing curriculums and policies, as well as each nursing course’s description and Program of Instruction (POI).
Each nursing student is given a copy of the nursing policies to read & sign a copy for their nursing file. The policies and the handbook are discussed with the students in the first semester of their curriculum at a specific orientation designed for the newly enrolled nursing student. Each nursing student is held responsible for information contained in this handbook, as well as the information in the College’s Student Handbook which can be found in each issue of the College Catalog.
The information provided in this Handbook and the College’s Student Handbook is accurate and current; however changes may occur. The College and the Nursing Programs reserve the right to make changes in regulations, policies, procedures and other matters as necessary without prior notice. |
