Students currently enrolled at BSCC, as well as all BSCC faculty and staff. Log on with your college email username and email password. |

| 2. Where is wireless access available? |

Wireless access is available in all buildings and the libraries. See signs “Wireless Hot Spot”. |

| 3. What kind of wireless card do I need? |
| |
Any Wi-Fi card. |

| 4. Can library staff help me configure my wireless network card? |
| |
Due to the wide range of devices, software and operating systems, library staff cannot assist you in setting up your wireless device. The library is not responsible for any changes you make to your software or hardware settings. Computer Services can better serve your needs. |

| 5. How long does my connections last in this library? |
| |
Unlimited time connection in the library. |

| 6. Why does the wireless network seem slower at time? |
| |
There are several possibilities: |

- Your distance from the Access Point Individual laptop
- Since it is a shared network, data transfer speed depends on how many users are using the AP.

| 7. Can I print web pages or files from my laptop using the library’s printers? |

No, the wireless network is not connected to the library’s printers. |

| 8. I don’t have a laptop computer. How can I access the library network? |
| |
The library does not have laptop computers for loan. You may access the network from any PC in the library or the computer lab. |

| 9. Can I get a virus using your wireless network? Is your network secure? |
| |
Access points do not produce viruses. Viruses often come as attachments to email. It is strongly recommended that all users have virus protection and personal firewall installed on their laptops. Our wireless connection is authenticated, secure, and encrypted. |
