BEVILL STATE HOLDS CAREER AND TECHNICAL WORKFORCE EXPO

The second annual Career and Technical Workforce Expo will be held Thursday, March 12, on the Sumiton Campus of Bevill State Community College from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. in the Tom Bevill Business and Industry Building 1400 Exhibit Hall on State Street. This year’s workforce expo is aimed at helping students and community members find jobs, learn about career options and receive advice on resumé writing, interview tips and educational opportunities to upgrade work skills. Companies participating in the workforce expo will include industry representatives from business, healthcare, mining, public utilities, banking, non-profit and customer service. Bevill State will have representatives from the Adult Education and Career Technical Education areas and the Walker County Career Center will be available to help attendees with employment questions and information. The expo is open to the public and door prizes will be given away throughout the day. Bevill State is still reserving space for businesses who are interested in participating.
