Hamilton Campus Upward Bound Program Holds Annual Awards Banquet

On Monday April 20th, 2009, the Hamilton Campus Upward Bound program had their annual Awards Banquet. Parents, guardians, participants, staff, and guests attended the banquet to celebrate the accomplishments of the participating Upward Bound students. The Hamilton Campus Upward Bound program serves nine area schools, including Brilliant, Hackleburg, Haleyville, Hamilton, Lynn, Marion County, Phillips, Sulligent, and Winston County. Awards included 100% Attendance, Most Outstanding Student, and Participation. Senior Upward Bound students were also recognized, receiving an Upward Bound pin and a summer scholarship to Bevill State Community College. Ninth through eleventh grade Upward Bound participants will be attending college preparatory classes at Bevill State Community College this summer. |
