Bevill State Community College awarded over 700 associate degrees and certificates this spring at Commencement Exercises held on the four main campuses located in Fayette, Hamilton, Jasper and Sumiton.
While the ceremonies highlighted the accomplishments of the graduates, special recognition was given for the Faculty Member of the Year awards and BSCC Chancellor Award nominees. Receiving the Faculty Member of the Year honors were Kristie Ramsey (Fayette), Dale Alexander (Hamilton), Becky Vanzant (Sumiton), and Ben Wall (Jasper).
Dr. Anne McNutt presented a resolution from Senator Roger Bedford in honor of Chancellor Award nominees, Sherry Terry (Administrator), Rhonda Guthrie (Support Staff), Kristie Ramsey (Technical Faculty), and Zonja Coleman (Academic Faculty). Guthrie was also recognized for receiving the Chancellor Award for Support Staff for the entire Alabama Community College System.
