Bevill State President Dr. Anne McNutt has been selected as a participant for Class XX of Leadership Alabama. This years class, held from August 2009-May 2010, will feature 50 to 60 individuals from across the state selected for the program based on their leadership abilities, career accomplishments, volunteer activities and commitment to help shape a better Alabama.
McNutt became President of Bevill State in January 2009. Prior to her appointment, she served as president of the Technical College of the Low Country in Beaufort, S.C. for 21 years. In addition, she has served on numerous boards and committees for both state and national education associations.
It is an honor to be selected for Leadership Alabama, said President McNuttt. I look forward to working with other members of this class to learn more about issues facing our state and searching for solutions for a brighter future."
Leadership Alabama, a statewide nonprofit organization, was founded in 1990 to give established leaders across Alabama exposure to the broader fabric of the state. Leadership Alabama develops a network of relationships and provides a structure for this network to seek mutual understanding of problems and priorities for Alabamas future. The organization encourages its members to act, individually and in concert, to move Alabama forward to help our state reach its full potential.
Since its founding, over 800 citizen leaders in Alabama have participated in the Leadership Alabama program.
