Child Development

Bevill State Community College offers three separate degree/certificate programs of study in Child Development. The Associate in Applied Science (AAS) Degree requires the completion of 37 credit hours in general studies and 25 credit hours of courses specific to the child development discipline. The long-term certificate requires the completion of 12 semester hours in general studies courses and 25 semester hours in courses specific to the child development discipline. The short-term certificate requires the completion of 25 hours of courses specific to child development and does not require completion of any general studies courses.

All students enrolled in the CHD Program will require a criminal background check prior to enrollment. The cost of the background check will be the responsibility of the student. Issues pertaining to or resulting in positive findings in the background check will result in the student being denied enrollment.
