The college programs in education are designed for prospective teachers in elementary through secondary education. These broad areas encompass many separate fields of concentration, such as: special education, primary and intermediate levels in the elementary schools, and the various subjects taught in secondary education (e.g. biology, business, mathematics, art, english, etc.).

Transfer Information
Individuals who wish to continue their education can transfer to Athens State University and earn a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education. Upon completion of a baccalaureate degree in Early Childhood Education, students will have completed requirements for certification as a teacher in grades Pre-K through Third. The Early Childhood Edcation track will NOT provide a student with an Associates degree, but will transfer to Athens State. Specific information about transferring to Athens State can be obtained from the Athens State University website.
