This six-week, non-credit course fulfills the hours required for training of Mental Health Qualified Technicians. It is in compliance with the Alabama Board of Nursing and the Alabama Department of Mental Health and Mental Retardation. Emphasis for this course is placed on the development of attitudes, skills, and knowledge required of the Mental Health Qualified Technician. Upon completion of this course, the student should demonstrate satisfactory performance on written examinations and clinical skills.
