Every 10 years, the administration, faculty, staff, and students of Bevill State Community College prepare for the Reaffirmation of Accreditation with the Southern Association of Colleges & Schools/Commission on Colleges.

SACS accreditation provides a holistic review of our College and determines if our mission, programs, and processes are congruent and effective.  The SACS/COC Principles of Accreditation address more than 60 standards of acceptability – Core Requirements, Comprehensive Standards, and Federal Requirements. The process is based on integrity and peer review. Achieving and maintaining accreditation is critical to the legitimacy and quality of our programs and product – our graduates. It is also a key element to marketing, as it provides a universally-accepted stamp of approval for the College.  Senior-level institutions, certifying bodies, and licensing boards all require that applicants graduate from an accredited institution of higher education.

As you review BSCC’s Reaffirmation website, the reference center documentation, our Reaffirmation teams, and the planning activities that are integral to our daily operations, you will be made aware of the measures that the administration, faculty, and staff have taken throughout the visioning and planning processes to build on our strengths and improve in many areas.
